MINI CHALLENGES
Friday 30th May & 25th July
Minis Challenges are a
fantastic chance for junior riders to have-a-go and practice
competition style events, including show jumping, mini cross
country, gymkhana, handy pony.
There are practice sessions over both
the show jumping and cross country courses and a competition in
both, as well as competitive gymkhana and handy pony with prizes
presented by Ripley Horse & Rider.

Clear Round Jumping
Starting at 1’6”/50cm. Height raised gradually to 2’3”. Can
be led, assisted and encouraged! |

encouragement welcome. Height raised gradually to 2’6”. |

GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.
The organisers of
these events have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and
safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must
themselves take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents
occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers / instructors.
2.
Participants,
or their parent/guardians if rider is under 18 years, must consider themselves competent to
complete the riding clinic for which they are entering. It is not the
responsibility of the organisers to decide if a competitor is competent or
their mount is suitable for the clinic. If the instructor of a clinic deems any
rider or horse to be unsuitable / unsafe to participate they will be asked to
leave immediately and no refund will be given.
3.
First Aid-at each
event a trained first aider will be on site, but no dedicated ambulance is on
site. In the event of an emergency local 999 ambulance service will be called
upon.
4.
Veterinary-Mayes
& Scrine Equine Veterinary Practice are on call.
5.
Farriery-no
farrier is on site or specifically on call for these clinics.
6.
Great Bookham
Equestrian Centre, the organisers, their representatives or helpers do not
accept liability for injury, damage or loss suffered by spectators,
competitors, their horses, grooms, friends, vehicles or property however caused
and under any circumstances except proven negligence of the organisers.
7.
Hard hats Correctly
fitting riding hat complying with current safety standards, and safe
footwear must be worn whilst mounted. Body protectors must be worn for cross country and are strongly
recommended for show jumping.
8.
Horses must be 4
years old or over to be eligible to take part in ridden clinics. Animals deemed
to be sick or lame will not be allowed to compete or be ridden on the premises
and no refund will be given.
9.
Correct
tuition fee must be received to be eligible to participate.
10.
One week's notice must be given if withdrawing.
Participants withdrawing with less than 7 days notice will not be eligible for
a refund of entry fees without a vet's or doctor's certificate.
11.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel or alter
any part or the whole of the schedule at any time.
12.
Bad weather-If conditions are poor participants are
advised to confirm their chosen clinic is running by ringing 01372 451458 or
07957 224205 the evening before or morning of each clinic. In the event of a clinic being cancelled we
will re-schedule.
13.
It is the responsibility of all participants to clear
up their rubbish and debris and leave the grounds fit for grazing. Please do not leave your rubbish
behind on the showground.
14.
All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Owners who allow their dogs to run loose on the showground will be required to
remove them from the premises immediately.
