From the events page you will see that we are hosting our usual huge array of dressage and show jumping competitions, plus fun mini challenges and intro days, some training and our famous Open shows, which have something for everyone.
We run lots of qualifiers throughout the year. These include the very popular Sunshine Tour and the Championship for this is held at Great Bookham Equestrian Centre in September.
Other show jumping qualifiers include the Championships of Great Britian and new for 2010 the Baileys Horse Feeds Show Jumping Series.
Oldencraig and Hickstead both run unafilliated Championships for dressage and again you can qualify for those at Great Bookham Shows.
Details of all the qualifers can be found on the qualifier page in the drop down menu on the left and also on the events page for the specific classes.
Coming very soon will be the ability to enter online making it quick and easy to enter!
For those of you new to Great Bookham Equestrian centre you will find that we have great facilites icluding two dressage arenas with rubber/sand surfaces. These are used for our dressage competitions with warm up available on grass or in our indoor school.
Our jumping arenas are on grass and we are fortunate enough to be on chalk which drains beautifully and the arenas are well maintained and fabulous to jump on.
We have a superb selection of jumps and fillers for our show jumping rings, and for the working hunter classes, these are well kept and in pristine condition.
For our showing competitors the rings are large and again well maintained in order for you to show of your horse to their best. We run a wide variety of classes for the serious competitor who is keen to qualify for the likes of the Balanced Horse Feeds Championships, CHAPS (UK) and Veteran Horse Society. But we also love to see the ameteur riders enjoying the prettiest mare, handsomest gelding and best rider classes (to name just a few of the classes).
Even the dogs are catered for and if they have a biscuit catching talent, a very waggy tail or are just plain cute or very well behaved then there will be a class for them on some of the open shows days.
